On Monday the contractor came to do a final measurement of the windows and doors that are going to be replaced. I am so excited that it is finally coming to be. Major manifestation in progress!
Over the weekend I saw a family of Guinea fowl walking along our street. They never come into our garden, I do not remember seeing one in the garden during the 14 years we have been at this house. I love them, most people do not, but I do! I love their bright blue little squishy faces, their beautiful black and white feathers and their obnoxious noises. That being said, I do not have them waking me at a$$ crack of dawn. I said out loud to the ones I could see across the road, ‘come into my garden, I would like to see you and take a photo of you’. They just looked at me and carried on with their day.
The next morning when I opened the gate for Finn and I to go pray (and pee in Finn’s case) he took off across the pool area and dived into the bushes. Several pigeons and 2 guinea fowl flew out of the bushes!
Since then I have seen them every day, in the garden eating bit and pieces or just hanging by the gate ready for easy escape as their flying skills rank somewhere between mine and a chicken’s.
Now they are visiting whenever Finn is out for a walk or is not in the garden, but the other day they wandered around and he just sat at the gate watching them. I asked him to let them be and he did!
Norm is not keen on the guinea fowl as they scratch like chickens so they have ruined his grass under the feeders.
Mr Squirrel has been back as has Mr Ratty. If I put suet balls in the feeder by the wall, Ratty cannot resist them and nips back and forth nibbling them and probably taking them to their nest. He creeps me out. And yes I know many people say Mr Squirrel just has better PR than Mr Rat. No, Mr Squirrel has better anatomy because that scaly tail freaks me out!
I have been praying for an owl or other bird of prey to come and eat Mr Ratty because I want him gone but do not want to have to put out poison to get rid of him. #EcologyAndAllThatShit
Maybe I can say some anti-rat mantra? Anything!?
Last Saturday we had drumming rehearsal at the home of our new drum chief.
We spent the majority of the session debating the correct lyrics as there are multiple versions of the songs and most of them are not in English so it can get tricky to to ensure you honour the lineage of the meaning of the song. We decided to postpone the Dance to Heal the Earth as we have not had time as a group to get our groove on properly.
The session was frustrating but I was happy because I had a chance to wear my new boots.
Last weekend Norm wanted to go through the kids’ old toy box as it was cracked and Norm said the jagged plastic was a hazard in and of itself. We wanted to get rid of the rubbish and sort it out into a new box. We found so many duplicates because invariably all 3 kids wanted the same thing, or they all got a happy meal on the same day. They found loads of their beloved Sylvanian Families, My Little Ponies, Lego, coloured pencils, cars and trucks and stuffed or plastic little figurines. Norm did a video for the kids to see what all we kept. Sylvanians was the only thing I would not let them take back to SA with them after they visited us in the UK.
We divided it all into age appropriate packets so that Millie cannot swallow anything. I mentioned that she turned 3 months officially on the 7th and Lily did a photo shoot. I am allowed to post as long as I do not show her beautiful face and that is fair enough as they always take a little shot for me to share publicly. Lily thinks she is teething already as she is a little drool monster.
She also had her first visit to the beach to watch Uncle Trevor surfing.
Lily managed to catch a video of her rolling over from her tummy to her back, she is getting pretty good at it and I cannot wait to see her do it myself. Norm is travelling so much in October that it is impossible for me to go to George this month but Norm has booked a flight for me over a long weekend in November so I can pop down for a few days.
I went to yoga on Tuesday and Thursday and it is getting a bit easier to do some of the poses but I still sweat like a fountain.
On Thursday night I woke at 5am and had to rush to the loo to be sick. I was barfing uncontrollably and then once that seemed to settle a bit less violently, I started having a runny tummy. It was rather horrendous. I was so exhausted and could not keep my eyes open other than when I had to race to the loo. I was sweating copious amounts, it was literally running off of me. This is a woman who never sweated until menopause when my body appeared to discover it had pores.
The next morning Norm said he also felt a bit nauseous but he only barfed once and he did not have a bad tummy. I slept until 5pm when I woke up feeling almost human. I could tell it had alleviated somewhat as my head was a bit clearer and the intense spasms had stopped but I had a thumping head from dehydration even though I had been sipping energade. Norm then went to bed when I got up and he slept until this morning.
When I have been praying each morning I have been asking for my creator to remove anything which is not serving me. I wrote about it last week and that post is ironically called ‘Water and Release’. I have asked for release and I used this pic as a mental image to inspire me – I actually did the arm movements and imagined negativity being whooshed out of me.

When I did my prayers this morning I had a realisation that was exactly what had happened in my body. The actual elimination of negativity in the form of body fluids. Bile is the seat of our discontent or summat. Today I have a headache still but I suspect that is dehydration but other than that I feel amazingly ‘light’ and no pun is intended. Light in a psychological aspect.
Tomorrow is the lunch at PIER I had booked with Norm, Caitlin and Wes. We were going for the Chef’s Special put on for Restaurant Week. When I realised how ill I was I changed the booking to just Caitlin and Wes and I hope they have a lovely time.
Norm and I shall spend the rest of the weekend resting and eating plain toast. I hope you have a good weekend and week ahead.
Until next time, Kisses from the Kitten x0x0x0x0x
